About Labour Australia
Independent plain-English guidance for international workers, students, working holiday travellers and families considering or already living in Australia.
1. Plain-English Independence
Moving to, studying in, or working across Australia involves navigating overlapping federal and state regulatory frameworks. Between Commonwealth workplace determinations (Fair Work Act), Department of Home Affairs visa subclass restrictions, the Australian Taxation Office (ATO), and eight state/territory tenancy bond authorities, newcomers frequently encounter fragmented or commercialized information.
Labour Australia is an independent informational project designed to translate these official Australian standards into accessible, transparent, plain-English guides and objective mathematical calculators.
2. Non-Affiliation Disclosures
Mandatory Statutory Disclaimers:
Labour Australia is an independent educational and research publication with no affiliation to the Australian Federal Government, State/Territory Governments, or any government agency.
Labour Australia does NOT provide immigration assistance, migration legal advice, visa handling services, or sponsorship facilitation. We are not Registered Migration Agents (RMAs).
